MAC Ice Cream... Cupcake?

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful day!

I did this mani earlier this week, and got tons of compliments on it. I was pretty proud! Let's jump right to the pics tonight instead of my rambling, shall we?

This is two coats of MAC Ice Cream Cake. On my ring fingers I did accent nails... cupcakes :)

"Frosting" and lines were done in Sally Hansen Whirlwind White. I used a dotting tool for the sprinkles in Zoya Pippa (yellow) and Mira (purple), and China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-le (blue). I dabbed on some Poshe and stuck the little heart rhinestone on top. Topped all of that off with a healthy coat of SV.

Not great formula on ICC. I love the color and the name, so it'll be stashed, but it chipped horribly within 24 hours. The cupcakes were cute though :) I'm pleased with this mani!

Oh hello, elusive and dangerous right hand.

Hope you like it!

I have a massive haul post coming soon. Hopefully it'll shock me into submission. I've ordered 3 indie polishes in the past 2 days, plus the Zoya blogger collection, and a birchbox... ahh. CRAP.

China Glaze Stella, stamped

Hello everyone! How was your day? Mine was wondertabulous. I went to class, gagged on the pretentious morons who think texting is "a destruction of the English language." I beg to differ yall. It's a damned text message. I always use proper punctuation and spelling, but seriously. It's a text. If I pick up a novel and the first words are "Lol cm 2 th 1 plce" I'll vomit, but in a text, who careeees??? UGH

I tell you guys the things I wish I could have told my classmates. Truth is, I'm much sassier in my head. After Lit and Other Shit, I went to a crappy little nail supply I found near my boyfriend's apartment. It looks like it's been friggin burgled and there's crap everywhere, including a tiny Asian boy zooming around on a tricycle (He's adorable.) but they have China Glaze polish I've never seen. I'll be featuring a few in my next few posts and giving one away on facebook coming soon, so check it ouuut!

Anyway, here's Stella. The pictures make it much more red- she's really a vampy red-purple with excellent application. Two quick and easy coats with zilch cuticle drag or pooling. So prett-ay

top coat of Poshe!

I've been dying to do some stamping, so I used China Glaze Passion, a gold almost-foil from the Romantique collection. Gorgeous. I love this combo! So classy. Or something. OH, and BM plate 21.

I hate when the label is slightly off. Really, center that shit. C'mon.

Hope you all liked it! Don't forget to enter the giveaway- ends soooon!

Vintage Musings of a Modern Pinup GIVEAWAY

Story time yall. Before I started blogging, I was randomly clicking through and following other nail blogs and slowly becoming obsessed. Somewhere in the midst of moaning over manis and sighing sadly at my own poorly painted pointers, (haha.. see what I did there...gag) I found Carli's blog, Vintage Musings of a Modern Pinup. She lives in Australia and always has really lovely manis, but beyond that, she's hilarious, and in my opinion, drop dead gorgeous. Her blog has been one of my favorite daily reads for months, and I'm so excited to share her giveaway with you! She's giving away an incredible a huge amount of prizes to two lucky winners, one of her vintage girls and one of her polish girls. Whichever category you fall into, you would be CRAZY not to go follow her amazing blog, and enter the giveaway. Seriously. Do it. Here's her link: Vintage Musings of a Modern Pinup. Go, click, wipe the drool from your chins, and enter!! :)

Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream

Hello perky ones! This post will be quick 'cause I'm exhausted and the weather here is really bad, so I'm expecting to lose power any time. Are you having a good weekend? Let me know! If you have a twitter, I'd love to hear from you. Took me a while to figure out what the heck a tweet was, but now I really like it! @Perkypolisher, if anyone is interested. OKAY, onto this amazing polish!

This is Deborah Lippmann's Mermaid's Dream. This is the first polish I dared spend $18 on, and though the total made me almost vom dot com, it was worth it. I did two coats over Zoya Wednesday. Mermaid's Dream is pretty thin and dries very, very quickly. I don't really know how to describe it, but it has tiny tiny gold flecks and blue glitters in a foil-like seafoam green base. Whatever, it's beyond gorgeous. This is in my top 10 favorite polishes ever. Plus, the bottle is so pretty!!

I hope you like it as much as I do. I have worn Mermaid's Dream for three days now, each a full work day, and I only have ONE nail with a chip. I am forever groaning over chips and ruined manis because work annihilates my nails, but this baby... wow. I haven't changed this mani because it still looks so good. This NEVER happens for me. I am experimenting with top coats, so I used a coat of Seche Vite and then a coat of Poshe. Maybe that's the reason? I dunno, but I intend to test the theory soon. I'll letcha know! ;)

I'm rambling so that probably means it's time for bed. What do you think of Mermaid's Dream? Am I crazy to pay $18 for one polish? Let me know!

Zoya Rory and Meg!

Hello everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I've been neglecting you all, so here are a few swatchums from Zoya's newish Beach and Surf collections. I'm so glad these are popular. They are friggin gorgeous and deserve the hype. I had to pick up more hours at the Paradise of Panties (/sarcasm) to buy them, but whatev. Worth iiit.

First up is Rory, a pink foil with perfect application and super fast dry time. 2 coats, no top coat.

So pretty!

Here's Meg! She's a perfect granny smith apple green foil and I couldn't stop staring at my nails!

Absolutely no application problems with these. Perfection, as usual. Thanks Zoya!!

Zoya polishes are $8 and can be found at www.zoya.com. I find some at Ulta but they have a super limited supply, so online is your best bet. Plus they always have excellent promos and deals going on. If you like these two colors, you should... go buy them. And wear them. And wipe the drool from your chin.

Don't forget about the GIVEAWAY. I'm having so much fun giving stuff away, fo real. I MAY have a little somethin going on over at my facebook page in a few days, so... ch ch check it out!
